Summary of CRE Activities
The program En Clave de Paz (An education program for a new millennium) was an initiative of the ESPLAI Catalan Foundation. The goal of the program was to have an environment where education was stimulated by peace and human values by using educational methodologies that were play based that children and adolescent could use during free time. This program was tested and evaluated in 122 leisure centers. As a result 12,500 children and adolescents, and 1,760 educators were able to share in the experience. This program was presented to teenagers between 12 to 16 year olds. These adolescents chose projects that focused on interpersonal relations, conflict resolution and environmentalism. The program gave a concept of peace to the youth involved.
