Learning Module on Perception Checking now available
We’re pleased to announce the release of another learning module that can be viewed online and downloaded for use in learning management systems. The module focuses on Perception Checking, a method for avoiding conflicts that develop based on misinterpretations and misunderstandings. Module users will:
• Learn to validate perception-based assumptions by asking questions about your observations and interpretations and those of others.
• Note the difference between describing external events and internal interpretations.
• Practice formulating “perception checks” that offer others opportunities to help clarify meanings.
• Find activities that can be used to teach about perception in the classroom.
