Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C), Lake County Juvenile Court, Mahoning County Juvenile Court, and Medina County Juvenile Court, invite interested parties to submit proposals to provide program evaluation services in support of the Northeast Ohio Juvenile Detention Professional Development Project (funded by a 2007 Justice Assistance Grant Program through the Ohio Criminal Justice Services) a joint initiative with the Ohio Commission on Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management, the Department of Youth Services, the Ohio Supreme Court, the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy, and the above listed courts.

Program evaluation services include the development and execution of pre and post training surveys for juvenile detention employees and administrators participating in projects pilot juvenile corrections academy.  All participants will be required to complete a minimum of fifty-six hours (56 hrs) of training.  The fifty-six (56) hour training course will be offered three times during the 2008 calendar year.  The curriculum will be designed to meet the unique needs and challenges of local juvenile detention facilities, but will build upon evidence based training practices and curriculum from ACA, NJDA, OJJDP, Ohio Department of Youth Services and the Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy.
