This year, International Conflict Resolution Day is on October 21, 2010. You can view an abbreviated listing of CR Day events from last year's celebration to give you an idea of what goes on. In celebration of CR Day, CREducation.org has put together a fun set of online games with conflict resolution content appropriate for different age levels.
The Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR), the originators and promoters of CR Day, are again sponsoring a poetry contest on a conflict resolution theme. The flyer announcing this year's theme ("Peace in My Community") and basic details is now available. See: CR Day Poetry Contest Flyer. Beginning September 1, 2010 we will be accepting poem entries via the poetry contest entry form (see sidebar menu for link).
The 2009 poetry contest proved to be an exciting event for students in elementary, middle/intermediate and high schools. The contest released a wave of creativity, with more than 120 entries coming from all across the country and abroad. You can view the 2009 Winning Poems Here.
